Description
Men’s jacket; barely a necessary garment for men. Bovenlanders (highlanders) often go bare-chested with the jacket over the shoulder. Most common: wide white or black jacket with short sleeves; silk (yellow preferred) for festive wear.

The term baadje / baajee is recorded by Jongejan as part of the cultural, administrative, or institutional vocabulary of Aceh.
