A. al-nada was an Acehnese‑Malay term recorded in the Burda glossary (page 92) meaning “anugeraha jang – volmaakte gunst” (perfect generosity, magnanimity). It derives from the Arabic al‑naḍā (النَضَاء) meaning “generosity” or “bounty”. In Acehnese moral literature the word signified the ideal of self‑sacrificial kindness.
Application
The term appears in passages praising the benevolence of saints and sultans, linking moral virtue to divine favor.
